It seems like the Aussie’s never fail in making truly spectacular things out of their old-time bather’s pavilion. Manly Pavilion is no exception, located in a 1933 bather’s pavilion for resident swimmers that’s been transformed into one of the chicest restaurant at the water.

Crisp white-slatted ceiling hovers above terrazzo floors and sliding doors that open to terrace dining and waterfront views that all feels remarkably contemporary given the historic building. A lively bar is arranged in exotic wood, tufted-leather walls and architectural archways accented in modernist stools straddled by a late-afternoon cocktail crew of Manly singles in their après-yachting best.
The Food
An all-day Mediterranean menu has been around long enough on the Sydney dining scene to hone its best dishes. Lunch include a hefty arrangement of Antipasti like scampi with celery ragu, cuttlefish with fennel and veal carpaccio with egg. A selection of crudo is ideal for late afternoon snacks before a full dinner menu offers wild boar ragu pappardelle or goose egg linguine followed by roasted duck, grilled short ribs and sensational grilled snapper.
